Who You'll Work With
Cleansheet Solution is a flagship digital asset within the Operations Practice and Product Development and Procurement team. Utilized in over 300 engagements this year and subscribed to by over 20 clients, this Solution (tool, data, services) has a proven track record in enhancing operational purchasing and engineering efficiency in client projects and in post-project subscriptions. In this pivotal role at our America region, you will spearhead strategic go-to-market and client development initiatives, directly contributing to the evolution and success of our key products, while managing relationships with our clients and internal stakeholders.
As an Asset Leader at Cleansheet Solution with a core focus on sales, new business development, and product adoption, you will join our dynamic Operations / Product Development and Purchasing team. You will collaborate with a diverse group of product managers, research science/operations specialists, and cost engineers to drive the growth and market penetration of the Cleansheet Solution.
Your primary responsibilities will include identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining existing relationships, enhancing client outreach strategies, and fostering the adoption of our Solutions.
Additionally, you will serve as the voice of the client within the product team, ensuring that client perspectives and feedback are integral to our product development process. Direct interaction with clients will be essential to gather actionable feedback and manage data, ensuring our offerings not only meets but exceeds client expectations. Your impact within our firm
As an Asset Leader for Cleansheet Solution, your core responsibilities encompass a range of strategic and operational tasks. Central to your role is the cultivation and strengthening of relationships with our existing client base in the America region, ensuring continuous engagement and satisfaction. You will partner closely with clients, cross-functional Cleansheet colleagues, and McKinsey client service teams to deliver seamless and value-driven solutions.
Developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies will be a key focus, aiming at both direct and indirect client growth to expand our market presence. You will spearhead marketing efforts to promote the Cleansheet Solution, utilizing insights to drive targeted campaigns and outreach initiatives. Additionally, managing external partnerships to enhance the capabilities and reach of the Cleansheet Solution will be within your purview.
Your role will also involve conducting engaging product demos and workshops to showcase the value of our solutions. You will facilitate capability-building sessions to empower clients and act as their advocate within the product team, ensuring their feedback and perspectives are integrated into the product development process.
In terms of business development, you will identify and cultivate new business opportunities, contribute to proposals, and drive the growth and adoption of the Cleansheet Solution across various industries. As an Asset Leader, you will oversee a team of colleagues across the Cleansheet solution to support McKinsey’s dual mission of delivering client impact and developing colleagues.
Your pivotal role will drive the success and expansion of the Cleansheet Solution, fostering innovation, and ensuring our product consistently exceeds client expectations.
Your qualifications and skills
- 8+ years of relevant professional work experience in procurement, and/or product development space, and/or purchasing
- Strong consulting toolkit
- High affinity to data analytics and data-driven opportunity identification
- Experience in preparing and delivering client trainings
- Strong organizational skills and an ability to confidently handle multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions
- Willingness to travel (~20-40% of the time)
- Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Must operate as self-starter with strong people leadership, collaboration skills and entrepreneurial drive
