Who You'll Work With
Your impact within our firm
- Facilitate the proposal RFI document and process, working independently with CSTs on opportunities
- Embed yourself in consultant and proposal teams in agile operating models to learn client context and create compelling proposal RFI documents and materials
- Create timely and high-quality proposal RFI content, gather feedback, and own the cadence of iterations
- Lead the navigation of the proposal RFI process and help CSTs implement best practices
- Upskill quickly on client context, embed with the CST, and independently create compelling proposal RFI documents and materials
- Seek opportunities to bring the best of the Firm’s broader capabilities and expertise into proposals
- Adhere to relevant procedures (e.g., file structure, archive, backup) for all proposal materials and processes
- Prepare templates, compliance matrices, close-out activities, and/or other administrative elements throughout proposal development based on submission requirements
- Build proposal development expertise and create content and thought leadership that can be used as playbooks/ best practices at the cell or global level
- Maintain and populate proposal assets (playbooks, digital tools, templates, best-practice examples, reference cases)
- More broadly, you will be an integral part of our global PEX community, and identify opportunities, and support creation and continuous improvement of Proposal Services assets (playbooks, tools, templates, best practice examples, reference cases, capability-building, etc.)
Your qualifications and skills
- University degree
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Basic understanding of professional services client development
- Strong research, and conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills
- Proven project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Excellent communications skills in English, written and verbal (e.g., ability to synthesize and convey complex information clearly and compellingly)
- Excellent organizational capabilities; ability to work effectively in fast paced environment and to prioritize and balance competing, time-urgent demands
- Results-oriented; able to work independently and to proactively identify improvement opportunities; entrepreneurial and self-driven
- Collaborative; strong personal presence and credibility; able to navigate complex organizational environment, build relationships and influence stakeholders across roles and functions at all organizational levels
- Intellectual curiosity on management consulting, business performance and holistic client impact
- High professional and ethical standards and respect for confidentiality

For new joiners for this role in the United States, including all office locations where the job may be performed, a reasonable estimated range is $94,100 - $117,600 USD —to help you understand what you can expect. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
