- must be a US citizen (due to confidentiality of reporting in role)
- 2+ years of professional experience including two years of experience in due diligence; experience in risk management and compliance is a plus
- Outstanding English written and oral communication skills, including clear and concise writing and editorial skills and excellent listening skills; Portuguese or Spanish language skills are an advantage but not required
- Professional experience includes working on complex problems related to business risk
- Excellent problem-solving and analytic skills, with a demonstrable ability to operate with limited oversight
- Experience working with third party tools for diligence related work
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize and balance competing, time-urgent demands
- Experience in or aptitude for mastering risk-related data sets and technology solutions
- Experience (work or research) in multiple Americas geographies is important; experience in other emerging economies is especially helpful
- Highly collaborative attitude, and the interest and aptitude for working as part of a diverse and dispersed global team
- Strong personal presence and credibility with the ability to work across all levels of seniority, cultivating trust-based, peer-counselor relationships in a highly matrixed environment
- Strong personal resilience, including comfort and credibility in challenging discussions with senior colleagues, balancing robustness, persistence, flexibility, humility, and tact
- Experience undertaking complex research independently and efficiently using a range of web-based sources and using Internet search strategies
- Comfort with, and preferably advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
- Academic credentials that include a strong undergraduate degree and demonstrable intellectual curiosity through professional training, advanced degree, or professional impact
- Occasional travel required and must have the ability to work across several time zones as needed

Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
