Your Impact

You will be the Client Capabilities Manager (CCM) for the Growth, Marketing & Sales (GM&S) San Jose hub. As the CCM, you will oversee a team of 30+ highly skilled colleagues responsible for delivery of practice expertise and Solutions to clients as part of the CCN. You will also work closely with the Solution leadership to advance the strategic aims of the Solution.
In this role, you will be the key link to our client opportunities, matching individuals to client and internal opportunities and supporting them throughout their journey at the firm. You will coach and mentor colleagues and support GM&S in driving the strategic vision of the hub in how we connect with our clients and develop world class talent.
You will develop people to drive client impact and demonstrate entrepreneurship with bringing Offerings to client service teams (CSTs). You’ll be excited to learn more about our world class capabilities and create a seamless integration within the San Jose hub, shaping the deployment model for our capabilities and how we best support colleagues on their journey within the firm. You’ll be seen as a true strategic thought partner to GM&S and McKinsey Latin America leaders.

Your Growth

You’ll work closely with the local San Jose (SJO) leadership, Client Capabilities leadership and team, and Periscope solution leadership. You’ll be part of our practice Client Capabilities team as the leader for one of our strategic Client Capabilities Network (CCN) hub locations.
Our Client Capabilities team works with practice leadership across each of our GM&S Service Lines globally to shape and activate the client-backed innovation and capability strategy to unlock client impact with our distinctive capabilities. The team leads performance and lifecycle management of our capabilities portfolio and builds a thriving community of talent across our Client Capability Network.

Your qualifications and skills

  • University degree; advanced degree preferred
  • 6+ years of relevant experience or in a similar role within a professional consulting environment
  • Strong evidence of leadership skills and demonstrated ability to coach and mentor colleagues across a range of prior work experiences, from interns and recent graduates to experienced technology professionals
  • Excellent strategic capabilities, a strong sense of entrepreneurship, and an ability to effectively engage with a wide range of colleagues
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills in different formats and settings, a keen observer of emerging issues, and a strong analytical thinker
  • Exceptional organizational skills: ability to work independently in a low structure environment, direct others and manage multiple people and projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to develop broad networks are of great importance, as are people management and development skills
  • Driven, entrepreneurial, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Ability to lead/influence senior stakeholders in challenging situations as an advisor and thought partner
  • Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred
