As part of McKinsey's Advanced Industries Sector, the Automotive & Assembly (A&A) Practice serves clients along the entire automotive value chain, and industrial players focused on complex product assembly. (e.g., agricultural, construction, mining, and machinery).

Your qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from a premier institution, preferably in automobile or engineering related areas
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and native Japanese proficiency
- At least 2 years of professional experience, preferably in automotive, machinery or related industries, market research or consulting, but not required
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Solid understanding of financial, economic, and general business concepts and terminology
- Strong multitasking ability
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Professional attitude and ability to work proactively and independently as well as in a team
- Willingness to work on wide variety of research topics in a highly demanding and results-oriented team environment
- Some examples of possible prior work could include: securities analyst or industry research analyst at a bank; researcher at a think tank, market research company, or consulting firm; employee at other research-related function in business
