Your qualifications and skills
- Education & Experience: A university degree in STEM, supply chain, or a related field with at least fifteen years of relevant experience; an advanced degree or MBA is preferred.
- Leadership & Talent Development: At least five years as a Sourcing Director or an equivalent leadership role with a proven track record in mentoring, upskilling, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Regulatory & Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, supplier due diligence, and risk management in sourcing.
- Business & Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of financial principles, market trends, and procurement best practices, with the ability to assess and drive measurable ROI.
- Negotiation & Relationship Management: Proven ability to structure complex contracts, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Process & Efficiency Focus: Experience designing and implementing sourcing processes that optimize execution, integrate automation and AI, and improve procurement
- Change Management & Strategy Execution: A strategic mindset with the ability to lead transformation, influence stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing and contracting.

Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
