IT Services Professional

Job ID: 96103
  • Prague

Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges—the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.

Your Impact

You will be part of the Global Provisioning Services Team, helping coordinate IT service requests from our consultants worldwide. These consultants may be working at client premises, remotely, or from home. On a daily basis, you will collaborate and share knowledge with teammates in Prague (Czech Republic), Chicago (US), San Jose (Costa Rica), and various external vendors who support our services.
As an IT Services Professional at McKinsey & Company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless return of IT devices. Your responsibilities will include guiding our colleagues through the return process, ensuring compliance with legal and customs requirements. You will also be tasked with coordinating logistics, which involves arranging shipping, tracking deliveries, and liaising with IT support teams, technicians, local offices, and external vendors to ensure timely service.
In addition to facilitating hardware returns, you will manage equipment requests. This includes overseeing the packaging and transfer of devices, handling device loan extensions, and responding to inquiries about our IT offerings. Your role will require excellent communication skills, as you will need to build trust with consultants and propose creative solutions when challenges arise. In this position, you will need to prioritize and problem-solve effectively. Handling multiple tasks simultaneously, focusing on urgent requests, and employing effective problem-solving skills will be essential to keep everything on track.
Adaptability is crucial, as you will need to shift gears quickly when circumstances change and stay calm in uncertain situations. Your customer focus will be vital in delivering outstanding service and building positive relationships with clients and colleagues. You must drive results by keeping projects moving forward, always aiming to complete tasks on time and to a high standard. Being attentive to others is essential, as you will need to pick up on nonverbal cues and respond thoughtfully to people's questions or concerns. Ownership and initiative are also key, as you should spot opportunities to improve processes and take action, holding yourself accountable for achieving goals. Professional communication skills are necessary, as you will need to communicate clearly and respectfully, adapting your style to different audiences. Your commitment to delivering on promises will be evident in how you plan and organize your work to reliably meet expectations.
Finally, teamwork is vital, as you will enjoy collaborating with others, sharing knowledge, and helping your teammates succeed. If you are a motivated individual with a passion for providing exceptional service and a knack for problem-solving, we encourage you to apply for the IT Hardware Returns Coordinator position at McKinsey & Company. Join us in making a difference and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT services.

Your Growth

Driving lasting impact and building long-term capabilities with our clients is not easy work. You are the kind of person who thrives in a high performance/high reward culture - doing hard things, picking yourself up when you stumble, and having the resilience to try another way forward.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities you need to become a stronger leader faster than you ever thought possible. Your colleagues—at all levels—will invest deeply in your development, just as much as they invest in delivering exceptional results for clients. Every day, you’ll receive apprenticeship, coaching, and exposure that will accelerate your growth in ways you won’t find anywhere else.
In return for your unwavering dedication to excellence, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. The real magic happens when you take the input from others to heart and embrace the fast-paced learning experience, owning your journey.
  • A voice that matters: From day one, we value your ideas and contributions. You’ll make a tangible impact by offering innovative ideas and practical solutions. We not only encourage diverse perspectives, but they are critical in driving us toward the best possible outcomes.
  • Global community: With colleagues across 65+ countries and over 100 different nationalities, our firm’s diversity fuels creativity and helps us come up with the best solutions for our clients. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from exceptional colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
  • World-class benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, mental health, and vision coverage for you, your spouse/partner, and children.

Your qualifications and skills

  • University degree in business administration or a related field (e.g., engineering, computer science, mathematics, or economics) is a plus.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications; familiarity with business operations, procurement, or supply chain (logistics experience is a bonus).
  • You are comfortable pivoting when priorities shift, remaining calm and effective in changing conditions.
  • Persistent in pushing tasks to completion with quality and on time, even under pressure.
  • You plan and organize work to reliably meet deadlines and fulfill commitments. You are detail oriented and not afraid of repetitive tasks.
  • You have strong service mentality; you are eager to build positive relationships and address client's needs.
  • Your communication style is clear, able to adapt to different audiences, and ensures mutual understanding.
  • You spot opportunities to improve processes; hold yourself accountable for reaching goals and delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a supportive team environment.
