Your Impact

You will be part of the data delivery team, gaining a deep understanding of the domain/function.
Your role will involve designing and driving work plans to optimize, automate, and standardize processes for efficiency. You will manage data engineering pipelines, link raw client data to data models, conduct assessments, perform quality checks, and transform data using ETL tools.
You will perform data transformations, modeling, and validation, configure applications, and develop scripts for data processing using Python, PySpark, SparkSQL & Databricks. Additionally, you will analyze and visualize data using Power BI to provide actionable insights.
Your responsibilities will include determining database requirements, managing stakeholders, fostering cross-site collaboration, and delivering high-quality outputs on time. You will also conduct quality checks and support ongoing business processes.

You’ll join our Periscope team in Lisbon, Portugal. Periscope, founded in 2007, is the technology backbone of McKinsey’s Growth, Marketing & Sales Practice. It combines world-class IP, prescriptive analytics, and cloud-based tools to drive sustainable revenue growth for businesses.

Periscope offers solutions across marketing, customer experience, category management, pricing, and sales, supported by expert training and ongoing client service. It enables transparency into Big Data, actionable insights, and improved ways of working, delivering a 2-7% increase in return on sales (ROS).

Your qualifications and skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferably with stem background.
  • 3+ years of experience in the field of data management, IT (database-focused), ETL and/or data analysis domains
  • Experience with SQL language, Python, Excel and Databricks
  • Ability and passion to work with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
  • Exposure to AWS, Databricks and MS Azure is a plus
  • Experience working on Agile teams is a plus
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills including assertiveness and client oriented mindset
  • Sound problem-solving skills and action-oriented mindset
  • Good attitude for getting the task executed; creative implementation of technology
  • Ability to cope with pressure and demonstrate a reasonable level of flexibility/adaptability
  • Excellent communication and written skills in English
