Senior Finance Associate - Post Payment Audit

Your Impact

You will work with a team of expense auditors and investigators on finance-related issues and perform audits on individuals whose name figures in fraud detection tools, ad hoc requests, and non-compliance lists.
In this role, you will scrutinize supporting documentation like receipts and mail, analyze reports from expense reporting tools and vendors, and research the internet to validate the business reason for certain expenses.
You will seek clarifications from colleagues on expenses and be responsible for assessing the adherence to different office policies.
Upon completion of audits, you will compile all the findings and write audit reports to senior leadership and member conduct teams. You would partner with Human Resources and Firm Legal on the final phases of the investigation and provide supporting evidence of the findings if needed. Finally, you will suggest additional algorithms in the fraud detection models whenever required to enhance audit efficiency.

Your Growth

You will work in our Global Finance & Accounts Shared Services Center in Chennai and be part of the Post-Payment Audit team. This group investigates Firm members' expenses.

Your qualifications and skills

  • CFE and M Com / MBA / related disciplines
  • Knowledge of fraud detection and investigation will be an added advantage
  • 4+ years of experience in fraud investigation, compliance, or audits
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in both verbal and written English, as well as the Mandarin language is required
  • Sound understanding of audit theories, principles, and practices
  • Use logic to analyze new audit scenarios and document procedures
  • Deal with ambiguity and able to make sound judgments
  • Ability to prioritize and ensure deliverables are met on time
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to forecast challenges
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Suggest process improvements and automation (Basic knowledge of data analytics will be an added advantage)
