Your Impact
You will assist Partners with documentation for capital requirements during elections, hiring, or departures, and oversee capital settlements within specified time frames. You will also work directly to obtain the Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) for Partners, ensuring the collection of necessary documentation while maintaining exemplary customer service support.
You will be responsible for assisting with month-end close accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and support reviews. Part of your duties will include ensuring comprehensive testing of system development and performing full-scale User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Additionally, you will ensure the issuance of all tax documentation to Partners for personal compliance. Conducting analytical reviews of submitted information for accounting, seeking explanations, and closing loops as necessary will be essential.
Furthermore, you will enhance and develop methods to track and improve current processes, mitigating risks to the Firm and Partners. Developing and implementing a robust risk and control framework will be crucial, as will providing relevant information for financial statement preparation, including capital-related data and adjustments. You will coordinate internal and external audit requests and maintain close interactions with other departments, providing significant financial inputs and guidance. Flexibility to work on any project assigned by Finance leadership will be expected.
In addition, you will collaborate closely with the Education Loans Team to ensure the seamless operation of the program. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including processing applications, coordinating with banking partners, reviewing quarterly billing, and ensuring timely payments. You will also work in conjunction with HR, Finance, and other departments to facilitate the accurate and efficient processing of accounting entries. Additionally, you will address employee inquiries, resolve concerns, and communicate policies effectively to ensure clarity and support.
Your Growth
You will work in our McKinsey Gurugram office as part of the Partner Capital and Loans Team within our Global Treasury Function. This is an internal, non-client-facing role within the Global Treasury function, which comprises 5-6 team members and is part of the larger Global Treasury Team.
You will support Partner Capital and Education Loan operations and help the Partner Capital and Loan Team. You will be responsible for managing Partner Capital activities, which include investment commitments settlement, supporting compliance and financial activities, establishing new changes, developing system capabilities, and supporting various ad hoc time-bound requests from various stakeholders across the Firm, such as Legal, Compliance, Compensation, Controllership, Accounting, Tax, Audit, etc.
Additionally, you will be working alongside education loan activities offered to qualified colleagues, tracking their financial activities, and working closely with local offices, external banks, and colleagues as well. These collaborations, Partner capital and Loans team, will often help you identify opportunities for alignment, making you a driver of change on a global scale.
Your qualifications and skills
- 3 years university degree, preferably in business or finance, MBA
- 4+ years of professional experience in treasury or finance with a focus on demonstrating teamwork, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data management, programming skills (Visual Basic), and reporting tools (Power BI, Knime, Power Automate) is advantageous
- Proactive, diligent, and able to maintain data confidentiality; strong customer service orientation
- Strong people management skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to assess a situation and know when to bring other stakeholders in
- Self-starter and project management skills
