Your qualifications and skills
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or Chartered Accountant preferred)
- 4+ years of finance and/or accounting experience in a similar environment
- Strong understanding of general accounting concepts (US GAAP or IFRS) with an ability to perform technical accounting research
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel; Word and PowerPoint (SAP a plus)
- Local Tax (federal, state etc) experience for US or Canada would be a plus
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail with ability to design & implement robust processes
- Proactive, ability to take initiative & work unsupervised, willingness to challenge existing ways of doing things
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent team skills and customer service attitude
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment
