Who You'll Work With
You’ll be part of McKinsey Digital practice and will be based in based in Madrid or Lisbon. McKinsey Digital brings together the best of McKinsey’s digital capabilities to help our clients use digital technology to transform their businesses.
As part of this group, you’ll join a global team working on everything from IT modernization and digital strategy to agile, cloud and digital business building. You’ll typically work on projects across all industries and functions and will be fully integrated with the rest of our global firm.
You’ll also work with colleagues from across McKinsey & Company to help our clients deliver breakthrough products, experiences and businesses, both on technology and non-technology topics.
What You'll Do
You'll work in teams of typically 3 - 5 consultants to identify, and oftentimes implement, potential solutions for a specific client problem or challenge. Together, you will help clients make lasting improvements to their performance and realize their most important goals.
Over the course of each project, you will gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop and communicate recommendations. You'll also present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members. In some cases, you will be asked to travel to your client site.

Additionally, you will have a professional development manager who manages staffing to help you choose projects based on your priorities as well as the needs of client service teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or another technical related field preferred; advanced degree is advantageous
- 6+ years of experience in a consulting firm, a technology company or a high performing IT/Digital corporate department
- Demonstrated leadership within or outside a work setting
- Passion for improving business through technology and digitalisation and technologically savvy
- Good understanding of key areas of travel, banking/financial services, FMCG, retail industries (but not limited to) and the technologies transforming them (IT strategy, modern engineering, cloud architecture, DevOps, Big Data & analytics, digital marketing, cybersecurity, etc.)
- Exceptional problem-solving ability with the ability to use logical reasoning and creative thinking
- Comfort with numbers and the ability to untangle complex issues
- Strong strategic management perspective
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluent in both Spanish (Madrid) or Portuguese (Lisbon) and English
- Willingness to travel and work internationally
