Fellow Business Analyst - Latin America - Brazil

A special program for consultants with diverse academic backgrounds.

  • Rio de Janeiro
  • Sao Paulo

Who You'll Work With

Fellow Business Analysts join our Rio de Janeiro or Sao Paulo offices to work in teams and directly with our clients. This 6 to 24-month program was created to develop talents into real leaders through research, training, mentoring, and coaching sessions.

Your team colleagues will make you feel welcome and help you be at your best during client engagements. The Professional Development team will complement your experience by tailoring a learning and training program for you, considering your strengths and development needs.

In this role you will have the opportunity to work on teams and help the best organizations in the world – across the private, public, and social sectors – solve some of their most difficult problems, while you discover coaches, mentors, sponsors and friends in your learning program.

What You'll Do

You’ll work in teams of typically 3 – 5 consultants, playing an active role in all aspects of client engagement.

This includes gathering and analyzing information, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing and communicating recommendations.  You’ll also have the opportunity to present results to client management and implement recommendations in collaboration with client team members. Some examples of the specific work may include interviewing clients, leading client teams, building financial models, and working with McKinsey subject experts to develop perspectives and insights for the client. In some cases, you will be asked to travel to your client site.
When you join McKinsey, you are joining a firm that will invest in your professional development. You will participate in an introductory training program, as well as a range of social activities to get to know your office and the firm. As a Fellow Business Analyst, you will receive training and coaching on how to better:
• Structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them
• Synthesize clear takeaways from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods
• Work effectively with diverse teams to come up with the best solution and move people and organizations to act
• Establish trust-based relationships with clients to better serve their organizations
• Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner
• Develop your leadership style, leveraging your own passions, strengths, and personal values
McKinsey believes in strengths-based development and coaching, and you’ll receive frequent mentoring from colleagues. This will include:
• Engagement colleagues and leadership who will provide feedback regularly to help you improve your daily performance
• A professional development manager who manages staffing to help you choose projects based on your priorities as well as the needs of client service teams.
• A senior colleague from your office or practice who will help you grow and achieve your career goals.
At the end of your Fellow Business Analyst program, you may receive an offer to become a Business Analyst.
