As our Pearson NCCER Student Ambassador, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your skills and accomplishments even before graduating college. Employers are eager to learn about the valuable work you’ll contribute, such as developing public speaking abilities, collaborating in virtual teams, and acquiring real-world business skills while still pursuing your education. By becoming a Pearson NCCER Student Ambassador, you'll gain a competitive advantage when it comes to landing a job after graduation.
Your daily, weekly, and monthly activities will include:
Sharing at industry conferences, motivating and empowering young craft professionals.
Collaborating with a dedicated Pearson Executive Director to gain practical experience in the construction trades.
Documenting your Craft Training journey through an online journal, sharing your experiences and insights.
Providing valuable feedback to shape Pearson NCCER products, ensuring they meet the needs of students nationwide.
Strengthening the bond between Pearson and NCCER by connecting with students across the country as a member of the Pearson’s virtual student team, working together towards a common goal of promoting education and success.
The student voice matters! Shape Pearson products by providing valuable feedback through focus groups surveys, and other projects.
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled as a construction student utilizing Pearson's NCCER curriculum.
Willing to commit to working for one academic school year, with a preference for students who can continue in the program until graduation.
Self-motivated, curious, and proactive, with the ability to initiate and manage independent projects with limited supervision.
Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, demonstrating energetic and outgoing relationship-building abilities.
Excellent written communication skills.
Compensation, Benefits, & Perks:
Competitive hourly rate starting at $10.00+ (depending on location), with an average of 7-10 hours per week.
