About the position

The Director of Product Analytics at Mondly will lead our product analytics efforts. This key role will be responsible for ensuring the foundation of our data infrastructure is solid and for increasing transparency across both backend and frontend data. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data science and computer science, and the ability to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and build a world-class product analytics team, drive a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement

  • Design and implement product analytics infrastructure, including data pipelines, warehousing, and dashboards

  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to establish, measure and track key metrics for success

  • Ensure data accuracy and reliability and provide transparency of data to the entire organization

  • Analyze complex data sets, uncovering key insights and trends, and making actionable recommendations

  • Develop predictive models to help drive business decisions and optimize product & marketing performance

  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices, applying them where appropriate to enhance product insights capabilities

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the insights team, fostering a culture of learning and growth

  • Communicate key insights and findings to cross-functional teams, executive leadership, and stakeholders

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business and customer segments to inform decision-making and drive business growth

  • Work across quantitative and qualitative data to develop a holistic understanding of user behavior

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

  • Proven track record of leading data-driven product & marketing insights in a fast-paced, data-rich environment

  • Strong background in data engineering and data warehousing with hands-on experience in SQL, Python or other scripting languages

  • Experience with large data sets and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, PowerBI)

  • 8+ years of experience working with product analytics and data at leading tech companies

  • Strong understanding of data privacy, data security and data governance

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in making data-driven decisions

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams

  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow or Keras a plus

  • Knowledge of cloud-based data storage and processing (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) a plus

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
