CONTEXT
Pearson TQ is a provider of outsourced training services to the UK Ministry of Defence, other public sector organisations and private companies both in the UK and overseas. This role will support the Initial Assessment Team as part of the RLC Apprenticeship contract with the MoD.
PURPOSE
To deliver Inductions to Apprentices, explaining the benefits of the Army Apprenticeship Programme provided by Pearson TQ. Enrol Learners onto the Army Apprenticeship Programme most suitable to their requirements. Prepare, update, maintain and forward all learner documentation. Provide administrative support and manage learner queries. Although based in Worthy Down this role is a peripatetic and also covers Kineton, Shrivenham, Brize Norton and Marchwood.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To have a thorough knowledge of Army Apprenticeship programmes delivered and be able to explain to learners in groups or one to one the benefits of Apprenticeships, Functional Skills and any other relevant qualifications.
Carry out the induction, initial assessment and enrolment at various locations for learners embarking onto Apprenticeships or other relevant programmes.
Create RPL Calculator, Training Plan, Apprenticeship Agreement, Initial Review, Individual Learner Record (ILR) and Learner Evidence Pack. Ensure relevant paperwork is forwarded to the relevant CCD Coord on completion of enrolment.
Create relevant e-portfolio accounts for all enrolled learners.
Conduct Reviews for all learners, if/when required, in accordance with ESFA rules and Army Apprenticeships SOPs. Brief Apprentices on programme currently enrolled on; covering Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity, Health & Safety, Prevent, targets and produce individual feedback for each Apprentice.
Ensure that all registration forms are completed correctly in accordance with the ESFA rules and Army Apprenticeships SOPs.
Inform LAT Coordinator and IA Coordinator of Learner movements/postings.
Deal with absence and withdrawals.
Deal with enquires from learners, Apprenticeship Coaches and Functional Skills Tutors in a professional, adequate, and efficient manner.
Receive Certificates of APL/RPL from Learners, update Learner e-portfolio with received APL/RPL. Check, and input awarding date of certificates received on to the Maytas database.
File, answer the telephone and deal with certificates and other queries from Apprenticeship Coaches, Functional Skills Tutors, Learners and Awarding Bodies.
File all learner documentation received, maintain all learner files to a high auditable standard.
This is a part-time role (22.5 hours per week). The working days will be Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. However, the successful candidate must be flexible according to the needs of the business.
General:

This job role is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check (DBS)

have a friendly personality and willingness to learn
have good written and verbal communication skills
be adept in use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Email
have competent presentation delivery skills
hold a clean and valid Driving Licence
be prepared to occasionally travel to the various other southern based locations
