Director of Content Marketing
As the Director of Content Marketing for Pearson Workforce Skills, you will drive our content strategy through the development of high impact messaging and attention-grabbing media and visuals that resonate with our target audience.
You’ll work with the broader marketing and communications teams at the division and corporate level to build and execute content-driven campaigns that help more organizations adopt and succeed with Pearson solutions. This cross-functional role requires both strategic and tactical execution, focused program management, and leadership skills. You’ll be responsible for shaping our story, narrative and all of our content-driven campaigns, and evolving and maintaining brand and narrative consistency and standards across channels and campaigns.
Success in this role means that more businesses than ever are aware of and turning to Pearson solutions to inform and build talent and learning journeys in their organizations.
What you’ll do
Develop and executive a holistic content marketing strategy, aligned to target audiences, positioning, and business objectives.
Oversee the creation and distribution of high-quality, innovative multimedia content.
Shift the perception of the brand and position Pearson and Workforce Skills as a thought leader in the industry.
Evolve content and visual standards to simplify, unify, and optimize for reach.
Work with marketing and corporate communications to identify content gaps, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
Lead an internal team and manage relationships with external agencies, freelancers, and subject matter experts.
Monitor and analyze content performance and build insights back into programs to continually optimize for results.
Recommend and implement innovative new approaches to make our content and creative stand out and have even greater impact.
Who you are:
Data-driven marketer; creative thinker, empathetic, motivated, self-starter
10+ years of experience within content marketing, including managerial experience.
Strong empathy for the HR function and people leaders, along with the ability to understand complex data and analytics concepts.
Demonstrated success managing a team of content marketers and creatives, both in-house and freelance, to get results.
Previous experience unifying brands, narratives, and content portfolios across teams, divisions, or business entities
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance speed and quality.
Ability to translate research and insights into compelling content.
Comfortable engaging and communicating with executive level stakeholders.
As required by Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado and New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. As required by the Colorado and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
Minimum full-time salary range is between $180,000 - $190,000.
