Reporting to the Evaluation Systems’ Senior Technical Writer and Proposal Developer, the Proposals and Marketing Writer will work closely with senior staff and business development and marketing staff to participate in bid proposal planning, development, and submission, and to design, create, and edit documents for bid proposals, publications, presentations, marketing collateral, and other business and marketing communications. The Proposals and Marketing Writer will bring exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively.
This role will serve in a remote format. Occasional travel required.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Senior Technical Writer and Proposal Developer, the Evaluation Systems Leadership Team, and the Evaluation Systems and Pearson VUE proposal management teams to develop bid proposal strategy.
Collaborate with Evaluation Systems subject matter experts to develop and edit bid proposal narrative communicating clear, compelling, and accurate messaging aligned with the bid proposal strategy.
Collaborate with the Evaluation Systems and Pearson VUE proposal management teams to develop and maintain proposal boilerplate.
Develop and infuse win strategies and themes into bid proposals.
Write proposal narrative and documents that reflect the business message as articulated by senior staff and with close attention to detail, organizational policy and practice, and sensitivity to deadlines.
Collaborate with Evaluation Systems’ Content Production Services to develop clear, message-focused bid proposal graphics, tables, and charts.
Produce and edit technical, market-focused, and stakeholder-specific documents and persuasive marketing collateral.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and services and competitive landscape.
Education and Skills
Bachelors degree in education, English, or similar degree required; Masters degree preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated experience in technical and persuasive writing
Experience in working as part of a project team
Ability to set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and produce high-quality and accurate work under time constraints
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
Knowledge of K-12 and higher education and/or principles of educational testing preferred
Ability to travel 10%
Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $62,000 - $68,000.
