As part of its continued expansion, Lotus Bakeries is seeking a General Manager for Czechia & Slovakia to lead and further develop its business across both markets from its Prague office.

The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to take over a successful, well-established business with strong market positions and significant growth potential. Following the planned retirement of a long-standing leader, the successful candidate will build on a strong foundation while shaping the next phase of growth and market development.

Reporting to the Regional Director, the General Manager will have full responsibility for the Czech and Slovak businesses, including commercial performance, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. The role combines strategic responsibility with a hands-on approach and offers direct exposure to Lotus Bakeries' international leadership network.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Czech and Slovak business with full P&L accountability.
• Develop and execute growth strategies across all commercial channels.
• Drive sales performance and strengthen relationships with key retail customers, distributors, and business partners.
• Identify and unlock new growth opportunities through innovation, partnerships, and emerging channels.
• Translate global brand strategies into effective local execution.
• Lead and develop a team across Sales, Marketing, Category Management and Distribution.
• Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence.
• Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and consumer insights to support business decisions.
• Represent Lotus Bakeries externally and strengthen the company's presence in both markets.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for an ambitious commercial leader with a strong FMCG background and a passion for building brands and driving growth.

Experience & Expertise

• 10+ years of experience within FMCG, ideally in snacks, confectionery, food, beverages, or other fast-moving consumer categories.
• Proven track record of delivering sustainable growth and managing a business with full P&L responsibility.
• Strong experience working with Czech retailers, distributors, and wholesale partners.
• Demonstrated success in market development, brand building, distribution expansion, and commercial execution.
• Experience in trade marketing, category management, pricing strategy, and customer negotiations.
• Previous leadership experience, including leading multifunctional teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
• MBA is considered an advantage.
• Fluent Czech or Slovak and English.
