Unity accelerates the development of tools for artists, with products like Wētā Digital Tools, Ziva Dynamics and SpeedTree. You will help make the entire process of creating 3D graphics, content and experiences more intuitive and accessible to creators. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Wētā Tools team at Unity, you'll help support the creation of high-quality tools. We are seeking someone with a solid understanding of Release Engineering to apply release processes and technologies on the Windows platform. You will use programming skills to contribute to tools and services, finding gaps in workflows and processes to improve the automation of the Release Engineering requirements.

Your role is vital to keeping Software Engineers focused on product development, collaborating in a team responsible for developing and maintaining infrastructure for the development process. Communication skills are critical to help support Software Engineers in performing tasks. We are looking for an individual who effectively communicates and appreciates continual growth using lifelong learning skills to contribute to advancing our changing build and release environment and wanting to learn new technologies and advance their soft and interpersonal skills.

What you’ll be doing

• You will be part of a distributed team that collaborates on advancing tools and services that improve the software development workflow for Software Engineers.
• You will be central to advancing our infrastructure on Windows, providing recommendations on improving the services on the OS.
• You will support and maintain the CI/CD system, creating solutions to evolve and enhance workflows.
• You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge with the team.

What we’re looking for

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Windows's expertise.
• Familiarity with build tools, such as cmake.
• Prior programming experience with scripting languages, such as Python, powershell, or bash.

You might also have

• C/C++ programming experience
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Can-do attitude
