What you'll be doing
- Managing the consolidated tax provision, quarterly filings, and other tax-related financial statements in compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Managing global R&D tax incentives efforts
- Leading the tax operations team in completing the end to end provision process, from planning and forecasting through calculations, recording, analysis, and reporting
- Managing the team (internal and external) to deliver all US and AMER income tax reporting including federal and state tax returns
- Driving continuous process improvements to standardize and streamline the global tax provision process, while overseeing controls and ensuring processes, documentation and related systems are in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements
- Ensuring accuracy of the reported effective tax rate components as well as the forecasted effective tax rate and cash taxes globally
- Championing operational excellence through process improvement, leveraging best practices, supporting the evolution of tax software tools, and promoting automation and technology to enhance efficiency and scalability
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated expertise in accounting for income tax issues and US GAAP, with the ability to prioritize tax technical positions and related documentation
- 10+ years of experience in global corporate tax, including public accounting experience
- 3+ years managing a team in a public company setting or corporate tax department
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Highly organized individual with a proven ability to effectively manage tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to explain complex tax topics in digestible terms to management and cross-functional teams
You might also have
- Self-starter with drive and a team-player
- Ability to accurately identify problems and apply efficient problem-solving skills to drive resolution
- CPA preferred, advanced degrees/credentials such as M.Tax, CFA, or M.Fin are a plus
- Experience in the technology industry is a strong plus
