Pay Range: $84,900.00 - $127,300.00

About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Community College Partnerships, the Partner Solutions Executive, Community Colleges is responsible for supporting and leading the execution of the university's community college strategy. This strategy will support partnership signing, development, enrollment, student experience, and degree programs.

This position requires a highly collaborative, cross-functional leader who will work seamlessly with the Director of Community College Partnerships, Regional Vice Presidents, and their respective field teams to form cross-regional teams to determine and deliver goals, strategies, and KPIs per these high-value partner opportunities. This will result in (a) the adoption and expansion our university transfer initiatives; (b) identification of new partnership opportunities with existing partners; (c) understanding of and participation in industry trends and needs; (d) networking, alumni, and industry relationships to support students and graduates.

Additionally, this individual will help lead, develop, and implement a partner-centric Community of Care model for high-value strategic partners, involving internal stakeholders from across the WGU community, that will serve as a framework through which transfer partners and their students experience WGU’s academic opportunities and services. Such partnership offerings – existing and new – will require considerable cross-functional collaboration, leadership, and deep understanding and strategic thinking concerning university, regional, and transfer partner outcomes and objectives.

The Partner Solutions Executive, Community Colleges engages in a consultative manner with C-suite executives at transfer institutions to generate next level engagement with existing high-value partners that will drive value for both parties. As such, the successful candidate will possess strong business acumen, creative problem-solving capabilities, the ability to build, track and manage a robust pipeline, accurate forecasting, strong closing track record and have robust interpersonal and communication skills.

What you'll do...

  • Cultivate and manage partner relationships with goal of driving enrollments, student employability, and real-world program components.

  • Engage in a consultative manner with C-suite executives at key institutions to create new partnerships.

  • Work in collaboration with University, Regional, and College leadership to design and implement community college programs that successfully satisfy shared strategies and objectives.

  • Collaborate with relevant internal teams such as marketing, finance, program development, and regional operations to ensure progress of partnerships.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

  • Requires excellent time management skills, and written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Strategic and creative thinking with a strong ownership drive.

  • Requires professional demeanor for constant interaction with numerous internal and external contacts.

  • Ability to work cross functionally, representing and valuing the needs of various constituents, and creating positive working relationships.

  • Strong selling and influencing skills.

What you'll need...

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

  • Minimum 5+ years proven consultative sales experience in education, workforce development or a related industry.

  • Proven ability to understand enterprise-wide issues and to structure innovative solutions that provide support to large organizations in achieving their talent development goals.

  • Strong prospecting skills and proficiency in account planning and development of high-level client relationships.

  • Knowledge of the issues faced by C-level heads of HR / People & Talent operations.

  • Solid industry specific and account knowledge

  • Intermediate level proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Demonstrated use and skills with CRM products.

Nice to have...

  • Master’s degree in business, marketing/sales or equivalent preferred.

  • Experience: 5+ Sales, 3+ developing business within enterprise accounts

  • 3 years of people leader experience in a sales management or advising environment

  • Normal office conditions

  • Travel, some overnight, up to 40%
