Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Perform system administration, configuration, and support for Infrastructure integration systems.
• Manage and perform all infrastructure integration system deployments, focusing primarily on Linux systems.
• Work closely with the vendors of Infrastructure integration systems to resolve system issues.
• Resolve any infrastructure integration system issues submitted to WGU’s ticketing systems.
• Work with vendors to ensure all upgrades and feature updates are tested and vetted in lower environments prior to deploying to production.
• Ensure all production deployments by the vendor are completed within specified maintenance windows
• Will be subject matter expert on all things related to specific Infrastructure integration systems.
• Maintain data integrity in all Infrastructure integration systems locations and licenses
• Create and maintain documentation for the Infrastructure Integrations systems infrastructure systems, policies and procedures.
• Create excellent relationships with business units and Edtech teams
• Interact appropriately with teams and products that interact with Infrastructure integration systems
• Participate in and serve as a resource for any Infrastructure integration systems-related projects.
• Know when to use the right solutions and automation to solve business problems.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
• Linux system administration experience on an enterprise-level
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux deployment, administration, and maintenance.
• Must have the ability to diagnose and remedy serious server-related problems and failures promptly and effectively
• Experience working in mission-critical environments, including participation in a 24x7 on-call.
• Proficient in identifying and solving complex problems
• Strong customer focus and student obsession
• Self-starter with a strong ability to use initiative and work autonomously under tight, commercially sensitive deadlines.
• Serve as go-to for escalated issues
• Understand integrations to external systems
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest releases in Infrastructure integration systems and/or scheduling offerings
• Works well in a team environment.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to plan and meet schedules.
• Good communication and working relationships exist with clients and co-workers. Concerns are promptly addressed, and any problems are effectively resolved.
• Intermediate/advanced spreadsheet and data manipulation abilities.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Subject matter expert in the area of responsibility or working knowledge of several technical areas.
• Typically requires a technical university degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) may be required for certain disciplines and reduce the experience requirement by 2-4 years. Industry-relevant experience.
Department Specific Minimum Qualifications:
• 2+ years experience as a systems administrator.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Assist management with vetting, selecting, and implementing new Infrastructure integration systems related to technology solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Basic HTML skills
• 3+ years of System administration experience, a strong plus.
• Experience managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers, including provisioning and configuring supporting systems
• Experience in managing and deploying through vSphere
• Knowledge of supporting RHEL non-GUI deployments utilizing CLI commands and scripting
• Knowledge of VMWare, TCP/IP networking, and cloud storage
• Also, working experience with one or more of the following Infrastructure integration systems is a plus:
• Banner
• DAMs
• Onbase and related architecture
• Engageware
• Jira
• Confluence
• Bitly
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
