The Senior Manager, Technical Marketing will lead a team to achieve step-function growth by leading marketing and lead generation. The Senior Manager is a B2B2C marketer who is responsible for developing and executing a performance marketing strategy. They effectively target decision makers and decision influencers to drive enterprise-level sales and partnerships of apprenticeship management platform, data tools and future products.

The Senior Manager, Technical Marketing has deep experience in SaaS marketing or similar business models and is well-versed in partnering with sales and working across growth marketing disciplines including demand generation, digital & social, events & conferences, and partner marketing. They will deliver results in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes on a marketing strategy that aligns with Craft’s business objectives and growth goals
  • Delivers qualified leads via demand generation and lead acquisition
  • Refines the company’s brand positioning and product messaging ensuring clear market differentiation
  • Develops a comprehensive content strategy that educates, engages, and nurtures prospects through the buyer’s journey.
  • Builds, leads, and mentors a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Creates a robust marketing analytics framework to track KPIs including campaign performance, user engagement, ROI, and conversion rates
  • Continuously optimizes marketing strategies based on data insights and market feedback.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Analytical and data-driven mindset, with a bias toward experimentation to optimize marketing efforts and maximize ROI.
  • “Figure it out” mentality. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful performance marketing, in partnership with Sales, with a willingness to tackle hands-on work and higher-level strategy.
  • Prior success executing omni-channel marketing and account-based marketing.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance or related field.

Experience

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B2C marketing, including experience at a high-growth startup or launching new products at a larger company.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and owning KPIs including lead generation, funnel conversion; ultimately driving significant business growth.

Experience in lieu of education

Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is the discretion of the hiring manager.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in marketing to HR / talent development / L&D departments is a plus.
  • Experience in edtech and future of work is a plus.

Work Location:

Work location is determined by role and business needs. In addition to our headquarters in Salt Lake City, UT, we have several satellite locations across the US. Senior leadership, administrative functions, and technology teams are typically assigned to work in one of our office locations. While this position will begin with a Remote/Work-From-Home designation, this position will be required to work "In-Office" once a dedicated space in Nashville, TN is established.

The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Pay Range: $122,100.00 - $219,800.00
